A Conservative government will restore the power for judges to sentence mass murderers to consecutive prison sentences without parole eligibility beyond 25 years.

We will reintroduce the Protecting Canadians by Ending Sentence Discounts for Multiple Murders Act, which the Supreme Court of Canada struck down in 2022 because, in their opinion, it was too hard on mass murderers.

We will use constitutional powers under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to restore this legislation and bring justice back to the criminal justice system.
